Task

The apartment is in the Babushkinsky district in the north-east of Moscow. Schools, kindergartens, restaurants and shopping centres are all within walking distance, and the parks and squares around the building make it easy to spend time outdoors in any season.

The clients, a married couple, asked us to refresh the interior without any major replanning. The main task was to create new zoning through furniture, reflecting the way the couple live, their plans for the future and how the space might be used later on. This is how the deep emerald tone came about, paired with marble surfaces and the original oak parquet.

Green is the colour of a mixed forest. Its richness and depth, combined with natural shades of beige, are energising. This is the colour that became the accent in an apartment for a young family. Green has a therapeutic effect: it eases fatigue, lifts the mood and encourages growth.
What we enjoy most is seeing how our spaces come to life after completion. This apartment is a fine example of how beauty, comfort and the magic of green had a happy influence on a growing family.

Solution

When they bought the property, the clients had already combined two adjoining one-bedroom apartments into one. The left side holds the entrance, an open kitchen, dining and living area and the bathroom. The right side holds the children's room, the master bedroom and a second toilet. We added zoning to the master bedroom, dividing it into a sleeping area and a walk-in wardrobe.

Our goal was a practical, comfortable space for the family's everyday life and a fresh take on familiar colour combinations. From the start we knew colour would play a central role.

The design is built on a neutral base: beige walls and warm, light oak parquet. A bright colour accent brings visual energy to the space.

Several lighting scenarios allow the rooms to adapt to different needs. Some of the fixtures complete the look of the interior and create a cosy atmosphere.
